About the role

Lead and scale CS Groups' social media operations — manage a team of specialists, own strategy for 20+ active clients, and drive measurable growth across 8 platforms.

CS Groups is looking for an experienced Social Media Manager to lead our social media team and take full ownership of strategy, execution, and performance across all client accounts. This is a leadership role — you will manage a team of Social Media Specialists, set the content and campaign direction for 20+ active clients, and be directly accountable for growth outcomes and client retention.

Key performance indicators

  • Client retention rate — ensuring satisfaction and long-term relationships across all managed accounts.
  • Team productivity and delivery quality — all specialists meeting their content and reporting deadlines.
  • Organic engagement growth across client portfolios — month-on-month improvement.
  • Paid campaign performance (Meta Ads) — CPL, ROAS, and lead volume targets.
  • Onboarding turnaround — new clients set up and live within the agreed SLA.
  • Monthly performance reports delivered accurately and on time for all client accounts.

What you'll do

Team Leadership

  • Manage and mentor a team of Social Media Specialists — assign accounts, review work, provide feedback, and support performance.
  • Conduct weekly team check-ins to review content pipelines, flag risks, and resolve blockers.
  • Set internal quality standards for content, reporting, and client communication.
  • Identify training needs and upskill team members on new platforms, AI tools, and ad formats.

Client Strategy & Delivery

  • Own the overall social media strategy for each client — platform selection, content themes, posting frequency, and ad strategy.
  • Lead new client onboarding — strategy workshops, platform audits, and content calendar setup.
  • Conduct quarterly strategy reviews with key clients and report on account growth.
  • Handle escalations professionally and ensure client expectations are consistently met.

Organic & Paid Oversight

  • Oversee content calendars for all active clients — ensure brand alignment, platform-specific formats, and timely delivery.
  • Review and approve Meta Ads campaigns set up by specialists — targeting, creatives, budgets, and bid strategies.
  • Monitor campaign performance dashboards and guide team on optimisation decisions.
  • Stay ahead of platform algorithm changes and industry trends — brief the team on what to adopt.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Review monthly performance reports before client submission — ensure data accuracy and actionable commentary.
  • Present consolidated portfolio performance to leadership on a monthly basis.
  • Identify underperforming accounts and implement corrective strategies proactively.
